True Storms Vs Vivid Weather. Vivid has more weather types and has the ability to set a season so will only have certain types of weather if you prefer. For best looking id go vivid.
It has much more effect on colors and contrast. I currently have installed true storms v1.4, but came across vivid weathers 1.32, and am wondering which of those two is the generally preferred mod (as it seems they don't work together). True storms is working with my other environment mods so i'll stick with it.

After trying different combinations with climates of tamriel, true storms and surreal lightning, i am using vivid weathers only. There is also a merge patch for far harbor dlc, which actually was possible to make without data loss, so there is only one far harbor patch.
True Storms Remains More True To The Vanilla Weathers While Vivid Weathers Is A Complete Overhaul.
You can make the game x10 more beautiful than vanilla with nact, and aesthetic matters the most to me. There are players currently using both, but that could cause a lot of issues down the road. An unbiased approach at picking the best weather mod for you.
True Storms' Storms Are Solid But Other Than That It Doesn't Bring Much To The Game Imo.
Vivid weathers is more for a particular look. For best looking id go vivid. It feels more vibrant, even with its grays and blacks.

In Further Testing, This Would Cause Some Noticeably Harsh Transitions Between Stormy Weathers And Most Of Vivid's Other Unique Weathers That Just Didn't Look Good, So This Version Was Scrapped.
Older, bigger team, more upkeep = better functionality and guarantees of future upgrades. It lacks the heavy rain particles effect of true storms so we hope to get a patch in the future to be able to use these 2 together. I prefer the look and feel of vivid weather.
